This is a session log of a session recap located here.
Sharpe: | Before the dungeon, I'll cast Levitate and Cont. Light on items for everyone. So, I'll be at -1 to spells for Levitate, which I have a hard time remembering sometimes. |
Sharpe: | I'll cast Light on the end of my staff. |
Sharpe: | I'll also remind Grog his primary job and ask Kal's character to stick close-ish (for a Swashbuckler) |
Kalzazz has connected.
Sharpe: | Greetings, fellow PC! |
Kyle: | Ready to start when you guys are |
Kalzazz: | which map am I supposed to select? I do not see me |
Kyle: | Map for today is temple of maitimum the Archmage |
Kyle: | click globe in top right then click said map |
Sharpe: | Huh. Put me right in. |
Kalzazz: | I tried to, still dont see me |
Sharpe: | Down and to the right |
Kyle: | So, ya'lls SOP is still Left for Loot right? |
Kalzazz: | Is not letting me right click and impersonate, I want to impersonate |
Kalzazz: | Left for Loot! Catchy and easy to remember |
Sharpe: | Kal, we should do the exact opposite now that the GM has caught on. "Right for riches." ;-) j/k |
Kyle: | The hallways in this dungeon are filled with a magical glow |
Kyle: | -2 light penalty unless I say otherwise |
Iginio: | "As a Ninja I can see in this dark no problem dudes!" |
Kyle: | Strudel has already handed out continual light items as needed |
Iginio: | "Say Srudel, you wanna any spells or we onwards?" |
Kyle: | he also announced before that he's levitating |
Kyle: | There's a door to the south |
Sharpe: | Oh boy, I move how again? |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 14
Sharpe: | nor is my arrow keys |
Sharpe: | Oh, hey! That works way better than last session |
Kyle: | you aren't snapped to grid |
Kyle: | or right click then set facing |
Kyle: | sorry, shift mousewheel |
Iginio: | "Hmmm, are we supposed to check the door or go onwards?" |
Sharpe: | Can we get a description of what we see, please? |
Kyle: | Walls here are solid granite |
Kyle: | Doors are reinforced wood |
Sharpe: | Doors to right and down? |
Sharpe: | Whats to the east? |
Kyle: | the door to the east is hidden and you guys failed... |
Kyle: | wait let me roll for hirelings |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 11
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 5
Grog: | Hey, There's something fishy about this wall |
Sharpe: | "Grog, kick down the door we don't see!" j/k |
Sharpe: | "See if you can open that wall, Big G" |
* Grog whacks at it some
Grog: | IQ check result: CRITICALLY FAILED by 8 |
Sharpe: | Does anyone have Traps, btw? |
* Grog shrugs
Grog: | maybe I'm wrong about it. |
Sharpe: | "Well, that's okay, Grog. I didn't hire you for your brains or looks." |
Iginio: | ((I do have traps!)) |
Kyle: | Can you roll me per based traps? |
Kyle: | i know that's not your strong suit |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 15
Iginio: | Oer Based Traps is 8 |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 11
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 8
Sharpe: | Oh, boy. We're hurting on Traps, then. |
Sharpe: | Looking up default . . . |
Kyle: | now that you've had it pointed out to you strudel, you do see a small pressure plate on the wall |
Sharpe: | IQ-5 default. I'll roll |
Sharpe: | You rolled for me? |
Kyle: | Gave you another shot |
Sharpe: | Well, I use Apportation to push the little plate. |
Kyle: | which could be hilarious. |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 11
the door slides silently into the north wall
Sharpe: | I just "Darth Vader" it |
Sharpe: | "All too easy . . ." |
Iginio: | "Way to show how smart and perceptive us half ogres is Grog!" |
Sharpe: | Moving me is always just fine |
* Iginio heads in to look
Kyle: | The room has a granite tub carved into the floor filled with some kind of liquid |
Kyle: | there is a ratty looking old stuffed ape against the east wall and a pile of rags |
Kyle: | there's also an 8 inch tall ceramic idol next to the tub |
Sharpe: | "Oh, boy. I bet that's not a child's toy." |
Iginio: | "Yipes! If were not careful the curse may compel us to take a bath, and its not time for my yearly bath yet!" |
Iginio: | "Strudel, any of that look valuable?" |
Sharpe: | Strudel exhales. "I don't see any treasrure and I don't see any monsters. I'm just throwing this out there . . . What if we save this room until right before we leave?" |
Kyle: | oh, for clarification, it's a taxidermied ape. |
Sharpe: | "taxidermied" = golem, I'm betting |
Iginio: | "Have you seen what taxidermists charge? Thats gotta be valuable!" |
Sharpe: | "And, we can drag it out on our way back." |
* Iginio draws his sword and approaches the ape to see if it reactsd
Sharpe: | "But, if you insist . . ." |
Kyle: | The ape doesn't appear to react |
Iginio: | "Hey, you is a magical dude right, can you mage sense on these here stuffs?" |
Kyle: | as you get close you can see that it's hair is coming off and that the colors have all faded |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 7
Sharpe: | My mage sense is passive, so . . . |
Kyle: | you don't detect any magic in the room |
* Iginio pokes among the rags with his sword, poke poke
Sharpe: | "I don't know why you would want to bother with that ugly thing. Do you think it is stuffed with coins? If so, cut it open and let's be off!" |
Kyle: | they look like they might have been a bath robe once. |
Sharpe: | Where is the stuffed ape? |
Iginio: | "Lets take the idol at least, somethings got to be worth something" |
* Iginio takes the idol
Sharpe: | "Grog, with Iginio." |
Sharpe: | Strudel watches the hall |
Kyle: | it is hollow inside and weighs a pound |
* Iginio sighs and rejoins Strudel
* Kyle shrugs
Kyle: | just throwing out a number |
Sharpe: | Is there a way to shut the door? |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 14
Iginio: | "Well, lets go Left, I guess since we approached from West, North is left! Left for Loot!" |
Kyle: | your merchant skill clocks in at 15 right? |
Kyle: | oh, can I get an established marching order? |
Kyle: | once iginio brings the idol back towards the group you can tell it's poorly made, and probably not worth more than $20 |
Sharpe: | "I'm pressing the plate again and closing the door. Just leave it on the other side. We can check it out furter if needed when we return." |
Kyle: | I deleted the door, but I'll consider it closed |
Sharpe: | I'm assuming the Swash has the highest Per other than me? |
Kyle: | this door is also metal bound wood |
Sharpe: | (And I'm not leading, of course |
Iginio: | ((Healbot Im sure)) |
Sharpe: | Well, I don't think he's leading, though |
Kyle: | healbot has a per of 12 |
Sharpe: | It's usually a Scout or Swash out front in the games I've played. Just saying |
Iginio: | Me and Grog first, line abreast if possible otherwise me first, then Healbot and Strudel |
Sharpe: | Me before HB, but otherwise, I agree fully |
Sharpe: | If you'd like to move me, Kyle, I'd appreciate it. |
Unknown roll: "secret 3d6". Use #d#+#.
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 12
Kyle: | the door looks safe, just open it? |
Sharpe: | My Traps is one better than Ig's, I think |
Sharpe: | by default. Just saying. |
Kyle: | his dx based is much higher for the act of disarming though |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 13
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 14
Iginio: | "Look dudes, we found a room" |
Kyle: | Iginio, a crossbow bolt launches as you walk through the door |
Kyle: | Gimme a dodge, -2 for side hex |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 13
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
Iginio: | Made it due to acrobatics! |
Kyle: | the bolt clangs into the wall next to iginio |
Kyle: | the magic isn't lighting this room |
Kyle: | instead it has large candelabras at 3 yard intervals |
Kyle: | they appear to be lit |
Kyle: | the room appears empty otherwise |
Kyle: | (gotta love the dungeon generator |
Iginio: | "Hey dude, go mage sense them candle thingies?" |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 11
Sharpe: | No, empty rooms are good. I force myself to add them. |
Kyle: | they don't appear to be magical |
Sharpe: | What does my magical Merchant sense tell me about them? |
Iginio: | "Grog, lets walk around the perimeter of the room and see if our keen half ogre senses tells us about secret doors" |
Kyle: | They are made of wood with iron to hold the candles |
* Iginio will walok around the perimeter, preferably with Grog
Kyle: | you can sell them as scrap if you want |
Sharpe: | My Player sense tells me they are worthless |
Sharpe: | "Grog, with Iginio |
Iginio: | "Well . . . only place we havent checked is south . . . we should check it next" |

* Iginio tries to disarm the trap!
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
Iginio: | ((11/14 for DX Traps)) |
Healbot: | gimme a dx -5 roll :( |

Sharpe: | That's a heckova trap there! |
Kyle: | does it penetrate dr? |
Iginio: | DOes tough skin help? |
Iginio: | I have DR 1 armor, 1 tough skin |
a poisoned needle juts out from the door frame attempting to bite into iginio's hand
Kyle: | Have to double check |
Sharpe: | He only has three fingers. That should give a bonus. ;-) |
Kyle: | it helps, but not to prevent the poison |
Kyle: | I rolled the wrong damage |
Iginio: | 1 bounces off glove! |
Sharpe: | What was the poison's damage? |
Iginio: | ((Iginio is happy he didnt eat that)) |
* Iginio now tries to open the door after deflecting the needle
Kyle: | Before I do this I need to apologize to Kal for the repetition |
Kyle: | Sometimes RNG does this :P |
Sharpe: | I was going to have Grog do it, if that helps |
Sharpe: | Oh, you mean for other games, ok |
Iginio: | ((I dont recall ever seeing obsidian jaguars before?)) |
Kyle: | Inside the are more candelabras |
Kyle: | and one obsidian jaguar |
Sharpe: | "Hold them at the door!" |

Iginio: | ((Can we see to attack ourselves?)) |
Obsidian Jaguar: | That's what I think he's trying to figure out |

* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 6
Giant Ape 1: | We didn't establish how high you are... |
Giant Ape 1: | Assume the cavern is 45 feet tall |
Giant Ape 1: | but yards of height are yards of penalty for great haste |
Sharpe: | Always 3 up unless otherwise stated. The bottom of my feet are 2 hexes up. |
Giant Ape 1: | how high would you normally be |
Giant Ape 1: | so it can trample right through the space in which you live... |
Giant Ape 1: | lets see if it hits first then go from there. |
Giant Ape 1: | Dexterity check result: CRITICALLY SUCCEEDED by 8 |
Sharpe: | Trample implies stoping onto the ground, but like I say, no rules in the book, I doubt. |
Giant Ape 1: | oh... it hits. |
Giant Ape 1: | that's true, but it's otherwise treated as a slam |
Giant Ape 1: | not as a kick or anything. |
Iginio: | ((Cards trample birds and bugs and such all the time flying)) |

Healbot: | Dodge(8) result: failed by 4 |
Giant Ape 1: | I'm cool with that |
Grog: | Dodge(11) result: failed by 2 |
Iginio: | ((Healbot should probably get to retreat to, but doesnt look like it matters)) |
Giant Ape 1: | Since he can't actually wait to concentrate makes more sense to all out defense double or dodge |
Giant Ape 1: | which with the retreat will help him |
Giant Ape 1: | Grog doesn't have anywhere to retreat to. |
Sharpe: | Sure, do AoD with him for sure |
Giant Ape 1: | now I need to figure out damage |
Giant Ape 1: | thrust crushing +1 per die.. |
Iginio: | ((Didnt he at least move 5 hexes for +2?)) |
Sharpe: | Oh, boy. GURPS has the shittiest of shitty collision damage rules. I bet I'm in trouble here. |
Giant Ape 1: | not by the time he hit you |
Iginio: | ((Did Strudel ever roll dodge?)) |
Sharpe: | I can, if I didn't |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 13
Iginio: | ((5d+5 -2, does he get +1 per die for brawling?)) |
Giant Ape 1: | brawling is dx +2... |
Iginio: | ((And this is why Fiona was trying to hide where the evil thing couldnt slam her)) |
Giant Ape 1: | they only give him +4 on punches |
Iginio: | ((His punch should be 5d+4 Id think?)) |
Giant Ape 1: | okay, then he's on target |
Iginio: | ((5d for Str, -1 since punch, +5 for Brawling)) |
* Kyle rolls: 5d6+8 => 21 + 8 = 29
Iginio: | ((I dodged! I used Luck and all)) |
Giant Ape 1: | If I keep this up I have a TPK |
Giant Ape 1: | then, that's to strudel... |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 9
* Kyle rolls: 5d6+8 => 15 + 8 = 23
Sharpe: | Yeah, I'm at like negative a lot |
Iginio: | ((How tall are these dudes?)) |
Giant Ape 1: | not used to gcs sheets |
Giant Ape 1: | what's grog's dr |
Giant Ape 1: | ... isn't your max hp like 9? |
* Giant Ape 1 shudders
Giant Ape 1: | that's -3xhp. |
Iginio: | ((So 2x Death, 1x KO checks?)) |
Iginio: | ((Oh, and Major Wound check for stunning?)) |
Sharpe: | Oh, I just rolled once. There's only one roll for the whole thing. |
Iginio: | ((Oh, I thought was 1 roll per checkbox you ticked off0) |
Giant Ape 1: | don't you still do ht check though? |
Giant Ape 1: | for major wound |
Sharpe: | "und. Major Wound (p. 60): This is an injury greater than 1/2 of your HP in a blow, or any crippling wound. Make an immediate HT roll. Failure means you fall down, stunned; failure by 5+ means you’re unconscious. See Knockdown (p. 60) for modifiers and other details." |
Sharpe: | I made an "an immediate HT roll." |
Giant Ape 1: | okay, then isn't a not ko/not die in addition to that. |
Sharpe: | That is the knockdown roll |
Giant Ape 1: | If you reach fully negative HP (e.g., ‑10 if you have 10 HP), you risk death! Make an immediate HT roll to avoid dying. You must roll again when you reach ‑2¥HP, ‑3¥HP, and ‑4¥HP. At ‑5¥HP, you die automatically. |
Sharpe: | Yeah, I do need to make a deth check |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 7
Sharpe: | Now, conciousness every turn |
Giant Ape 1: | now, grog's dr? |
Giant Ape 1: | does that include tough skin? |
Giant Ape 1: | which applies here. |
Sharpe: | Showing DR 4, but it looks like DR 3 for Tough Skin +1 to me |
Giant Ape 1: | I'll go with that. |
Grog: | Health check result: succeeded by 5 |
Sharpe: | Oh, I put light scale on his torso that's why |
* Giant Ape 2 tenderly picks up the inanimate jaguar
* Giant Ape 2 roars in some kind of distress
Giant Ape 2: |
Round Number 3: You are up, Giant Ape 2!!
Giant Ape 3, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 2: |
Round Number 3: You are up, Giant Ape 3!!
Healbot, get ready to go!
|
Sharpe: | (And, I accidentally gave him two helmets, thanks GCS) |
Iginio: | ((I cannot stand GCS)) |
Giant Ape 2: |
Round Number 3: You are up, Healbot!!
Grog, get ready to go!
|
* Healbot looks on in horror at the carnage
* Healbot casts major healing on strudel
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 11
Healbot: (( heal for 8 ))
Healbot: (( it's not nothing but... ))
Healbot: |
Round Number 3: You are up, Grog!!
Iginio, get ready to go!
|
Sharpe: | I'm at -14 HP. Probably should have held off on that healing spell. |
Iginio: | ((I would have used on Grog to get him to the positrives)) |
Grog: (( trying to decide on what to do with grog ))
Grog: | I'm willing to switch it |
Iginio: | ((Grog should hit Ape 2)) |
Grog: | Ape 2 is having a tender moment with his downed god. |
Grog: | Not sure we want to interrupt that. |
Grog: | Axe swing in the chest (14): result: «succeeded by 1 » Dwarven axe, can parry after attacking doing 10 cut |
Iginio: | ((Please tell me Grog is not now providing cover for that ape)) |
Grog: | I can't see any reasonable world where grog provides any cover to a 30 foot ape |
Iginio: | ((Grog is hitting that ape from behind so he shouldnt get to defend)) |
Giant Ape 1: | Health check result: succeeded by 2 |
Iginio has received initiative.
Grog: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Iginio!!
Strudelbork, get ready to go!
|
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 17
Sharpe: | Otherwise, it would have been Death Vision until they were all out of the game. |
Sharpe: | but, fucking dice. |
Iginio: | Iginio gets 2 goes right? |
Iginio: | ((And it isnt Strudels turn to roll KO check)) |
Grog: | you can't roll ko checks on iginio's turn :P |
Grog: | let's go with that for now. |
Iginio: | Okay, Iginio step and attack Ape1 in the back, aiming at his unhurt arm and one of his legs |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 14
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 16
Iginio: | Hits since back attack! |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+8 => 11 + 8 = 19
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+8 => 13 + 8 = 21
Iginio: | Iginio then steps back and goes AoD Parry |
Giant Ape 1: | result: succeeded by 4 |
Giant Ape 1: | result: succeeded by 6 |
Giant Ape 1: | Health check result: succeeded by 0 |
Iginio: | ((However with both arms and 1 leg crippled its hopefully not doing very much)) |
* Giant Ape 1 crashes face first into the earth
Strudelbork has received initiative.
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Strudelbork!!
Giant Ape, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 1: | you may now roll ko check. |
Iginio: | ((brb, Strudel control me if need be)) |
Giant Ape 1: | stop rushing to die! |
Sharpe: | ok, for real con check |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 11
Giant Ape 1: | lets see if it makes any difference. |
Giant Ape 1: | okay, so now what? |
Sharpe: | don't know why I thought it was my turn before |
Giant Ape 1: | Death vision is a regular spell right? |
Sharpe: | Right, so there is a multiplier |
Giant Ape 1: | you are aware of the FP multiplier there |
Sharpe: | Yeah, but it's insignificant |
Giant Ape 1: | oh, does your skill reduce casting time enough to make it 0? |
Sharpe: | (It's actually in my notes so I don't forget, you;ll notice |
Sharpe: | Okay, step upwards 1 hex and cast |
Sharpe: | I don't think skill is an issue here so |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 6
Giant Ape 1: | that's an issue. |
Giant Ape 1: | is that a crit at your effective skill? |
Giant Ape 1: | that would have saved piles of FP |
Sharpe: | but, anyway, whichever one needs Dv'ed I did |
Sharpe: | But, gf is home, so I need 10 min |
Giant Ape 1: | let's just take 10 |
Giant Ape 1: | and I'll nuke my dinner |
Sharpe: | Thanks for waiting. :-) |
Giant Ape 1: | Don't think kal is back yet. |
Giant Ape 1: | I'm willing to wait for him while I eat |
Sharpe: | Well, I don't like these giant apes so why would I be willing to do so? |
Giant Ape 1: | I'm now convinced their CER is too low |
Giant Ape 1: | and Christopher agrees that SM 2+ probably should give them a boost. |
Sharpe: | We're not dead yet, but that trample was a big deal. Didn't think of that. |
Giant Ape 1: | it killed that ape in practical terms |
Sharpe: | Yeah, but how long can I make con rolls? |
Giant Ape 1: | left him facing the wrong way |
Sharpe: | I didn't think I was going to get hit in this fight. At all. Or, I would have opened with DV |
Sharpe: | 3 turns, 3 apes out. |
Sharpe: | A lot of FP, but I have it. |
Sharpe: | Of course, I didn't know they were SM +4 though! I thought SM +2 |
Sharpe: | (I'm not looking in Monsters) |
Giant Ape 1: | I'm fine with you doing so |
Sharpe: | Well, I . . . I'd probably rather not. |
Sharpe: | That's awfully meta |
Giant Ape 1: | This is an awfully meta game :P |
Giant Ape 1: | I don't offer plot |
Sharpe: | I don't really either. |
Giant Ape 1: | it's just "go in and smash things, bring back loot |
Giant Ape 1: | there aren't even quests yet |
Giant Ape 1: | no custom built monsters |
Sharpe: | However, we do do the standard rolls at the beginning of the quest. |
Sharpe: | It's just a binary condition, so I don't think you need a program for that. |
Sharpe: | There's either a quest or not. |
Sharpe: | of course, now I have to bathroom break |
Giant Ape 1: | eventually I actually want it to generate quests, put the objective in the dungeon at a room farther away from the entrance and so on |
Iginio: | ((okay now mostly back, what I miss?)) |
Giant Ape 1: | I'll take one too. |
Giant Ape 1: | nothing really |
Sharpe: | Ok, I DV'ed the one behind us, right? |
Iginio: | ((Something has a big yellow mark on it)) |
Sharpe: | I think they laying down thing is DV |
Iginio: | ((I think thats because it has a crippled leg)) |
Sharpe: | Does he block the doorway? |
Giant Ape 1: | 1 is down because of crippled limb |
Sharpe: | "Let's get out of here and regroup." |
Iginio: | "What? Weve routed 3 of the fiends and Im great hasted, lets push for the finish!" |
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Giant Ape!!
Giant Ape 1, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Giant Ape 1!!
Giant Ape 2, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 1: | Health check result: succeeded by 0 |
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Giant Ape 2!!
Giant Ape 3, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 2: | IQ check result: failed by 6 |
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Giant Ape 3!!
Healbot, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Healbot!!
Grog, get ready to go!
|
Iginio: | ((Ape 3 is at full strength)) |
Giant Ape 1: | can't get to the fight through the sm4 ape in the sm 1 door. |
Sharpe: | 3 and 4 are just fine? |
Giant Ape 1: | 2 and 3 are fine |
Giant Ape 1: | un numbered is nursing his wounds in the corner there |
Sharpe: | 2 is stunned and can't do anything |
Giant Ape 1: | and 1 is down and in a bad way |
Giant Ape 1: | it's really just 2 and 3 to deal with. |
Iginio: | ((2 is stunned, so his dodge is not With Joy, so I dont expect him to be able to fight after my next go)) |
Healbot: | want heals now strudel |
Healbot: | Sooner is better methinks |
Sharpe: | It's just 3 to deal with. Okay, I thought 2 and 1 were out. I didn't know 0 was almost dead. |
Sharpe: | "Yeah, fine heal away." |
Healbot: | if we can get you into -hh instead of -3ht you'll survive long enough to get to town |
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 9
Healbot: |
Round Number 4: You are up, Grog!!
Iginio, get ready to go!
|
Sharpe: | -21 HP, so . . . Still x3 lol |
Grog: | Axe swing in the chest (14): result: «failed by 3 » Dwarven axe, can parry after attacking doing 11 cut |
Iginio has received initiative.
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Iginio!!
Strudelbork, get ready to go!
|
Iginio: | Iginio all out Attack Double, one attack split into Rapid Strike, deceptive -2/-1 to each arm, the non rapid strike is a deceptive -4/-2 generic |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 9
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 14
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 16
Giant Ape 2: | Dodge(9) result: succeeded by 1 |
Iginio: | Then his second action is a standard attack, rapid strike, deceptive -2/-1 for each leg |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 8
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 3
Healbot: | it's... -4 for it right? |
Iginio: | Potential and crit! |
Iginio: | -4 for stun, and he put on some deceptive |
Giant Ape 2: | Dodge(4) result: CRITICALLY SUCCEEDED by 0 |
Giant Ape 2: | Dodge(3) result: failed by 6 |
Healbot: | wait, doesn't that mean iginio gets a crit fail roll? |
Healbot: | Critical Miss: 9, Drop Weapon, Cheap weapon Breaks |
Healbot: | so... one good hit. |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+8 => 10 + 8 = 18
Healbot: | you can be back on your feet with it in hand for your second action. |
Iginio: | Sure, do that. No more attacks though, so sad |
Healbot: | because dropping to knees is free on turn one right? |
Healbot: | after the crit fail |
Healbot: | then turn two ready and step |
Sharpe: | Change posture to kneel. Ready to pick up. |
Healbot: | is it change posture to drop to a kneel? |
Iginio: | Can go from standing to kneeling as a non action |
Healbot: | i know it's change posture to go from prone to kneel |
Sharpe: | Kneeling to standing. |
Healbot: | you can go from kneeling to standing with a step |
Sharpe: | Yes. Kneeliong to standing as a step (with Attack, for example) |
Healbot: | yeah i misread something before |
Healbot: | you can be kneeling with weapon at end of 2nd turn. |
Iginio: | ((Abandon sword, draw a sai and swing away)) |
Healbot: | you have a sai drawn already in offhand |
Healbot: | you are ambi right |
Iginio: | ((Right, but I have 2 hands so I want a weapon in each)) |
Healbot: | so roll out the remaineder of the damage as if sais i suppose |
Iginio: | I dont think Im going to cripple anything with my sai, so I am doing a rapid strike, generic attacks, deceptive -2/-1 with the sai |
Sharpe: | Maybe to random loc? |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 13 + 7 = 20
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 11 + 7 = 18
Iginio: | 20 and 18 crushing |
Giant Ape 2: | result: succeeded by 0 |
Giant Ape 2: | Health check result: succeeded by 6 |
Iginio: | ((I think I did cripple the arm and push it into the negatives at least)) |
Healbot: | did both those things |
Strudelbork has received initiative.
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Strudelbork!!
Giant Ape, get ready to go!
|
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 8
Sharpe: | I'm actually not as bad as I thought |
Healbot: | ape 3 is the only one left without stun |
Sharpe: | I was at -16 before the healing, which was +8, so I'm at -8. |
Sharpe: | Still, more than -HP |
Sharpe: | There is an ape that I can target? |
Healbot: | it's a long way off though |
Sharpe: | Yeah, and I'm about out of it. Hold on |
Healbot: | 6 yards, 4 with staff |
Sharpe: | I have 12 FP and I used 5? |
Sharpe: | I don't recall if it's 4 or 5 for SM +4 |
Healbot: | 5 for great haste, then ... |
Sharpe: | Yeah, and 5 for GH |
Sharpe: | so, I'm at 12-10=2 FP |
Sharpe: | But, I have 4 on a staff, IIRC |
Healbot: | as your power item? |
Iginio: | ((Whats hit location penalty for feet btw?)) |
Healbot: | +1 on a giant ape |
Sharpe: | FP 5 on staff. $490 |
Sharpe: | So, I'll use that. |
Sharpe: | 4 yards, but I guess it doesn't matter that he's +4 lol |
Sharpe: | Well, I'll step closer, so 17 |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 6
Healbot: | isn't that an effective crit? |
Sharpe: | I don't know how to look up a damn thing in DF RPG |
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Giant Ape!!
Giant Ape 1, get ready to go!
|
Healbot: | it only really matters for if you spend that money or not |
Sharpe: | "A roll of 6 is a critical hit if your effective skill is 16+." |
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Giant Ape 1!!
Giant Ape 2, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 1: | Health check result: succeeded by 5 |
Sharpe: | I mean, I know right were every little thing is in Basic Set but . . . |
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Giant Ape 2!!
Giant Ape 3, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 2: | IQ check result: failed by 3 |
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Giant Ape 3!!
Healbot, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 3: | IQ check result: failed by 2 |
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Healbot!!
Grog, get ready to go!
|
Iginio: | ((So 3 has the happy yellow sigil of doom now to?)) |
* Healbot casts major healing again
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 12
* Healbot fails
Sharpe: | How is Grog doing? |
Healbot: |
Round Number 5: You are up, Grog!!
Iginio, get ready to go!
|
Sharpe: | Is that from the trample? |
Healbot: | and getting an 8 pt heal |
Grog: | Axe swing in the chest (14): '' result: «succeeded by 4 » Dwarven axe, can parry after attacking doing 6 cut |
Healbot: | that axe isn't really dwarven is it? |
Iginio has received initiative.
Healbot: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Iginio!!
Strudelbork, get ready to go!
|
Sharpe: | Regular Throwing axe |
Sharpe: | But, hey, we got a re-write for Smoke! |
Sharpe: | I mean, good job re-writing the spells that weren't broken in the first place! |
Iginio: | Iginio's first action is an all out attack, he closes in and All Out Attack Double, turn one of those double into a rapid strike, Hand, Foot, Foot (its dodge is now like negative, so no deceptive. Need 16, 15, 15) |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 3
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 12
Iginio: | Potential, crit, potential |
Giant Ape 2: | Dodge(0) result: CRITICALLY FAILED by 17 |
Healbot: | it can't actually roll |
Sharpe: | Giant apes wishing they'd stayed in the jungle right now. |
Healbot: | i hit the button to make the framwork do math |
Healbot: | just roll up the damage |
Healbot: | Critical Hit: 8, Double Shock+Cripple (funnybone) |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 13 + 7 = 20
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 8 + 7 = 15
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 10 + 7 = 17
Sharpe: | Kal's got the melee damage |
Healbot: | and with his backup weapons |
Iginio: | ((And curses . . . I dont think I cripple anything)) |
Giant Ape 2: | Health check result: succeeded by 6 |
Iginio: | ((Wait, no, need 15 to cripple an extremity I think, so I cripple 2 of 3 targets if its DR 2)) |
Healbot: | one is funny bone |
Iginio: | ((Niftiness, so it has 1 arm, 1 hand, and 2 feet crippled!)) |
Sharpe: | There needed to be some sort of standard "morale" rolls. |
Healbot: | gm can just make them quit at ht- |
Sharpe: | Because that guy would fail the heck out of it lol |
Sharpe: | yeah, I get that, but still |
Sharpe: | Sometimes, a GM wants to roll |
Healbot: | he's not really in a position to do much surrendering either though |
Iginio: | Next action is a generic attack, throw a sai at 3, aiming for the vitals. 17-3 vitals, -2 range, +4 SM = need 16 |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 12
Iginio: | And fast draw new sai |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 10
Giant Ape 3: | Dodge(5) result: CRITICALLY SUCCEEDED by 1 |
* Sharpe rolls eyes
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 12
Strudelbork has received initiative.
Healbot: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Strudelbork!!
Giant Ape, get ready to go!
|
Sharpe: | Is there any ape left standing? |
Healbot: | there's one standing but stunned, one standing but badly wounded (failed it's morale thinger by my count) |
Healbot: | it's been doing nothing |
Sharpe: | And the 4th is down |
Iginio: | ((3 is still standing and is full health but stunned, Numberless is mildly negative but not stunned)) |
Sharpe: | Oh, well, I need to roll con |
Iginio: | ((1 and 2 are mostly devoid of working limbs and in the negatives)) |
Sharpe: | Here goes me hitting the floor |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 8
Iginio: | ((and I think Grog is beating on 2)) |
Sharpe: | I'm about ready to pop the top on my heal potion in my potion belt. |
Healbot: | Yeah I think it's time. |
Sharpe: | "Healer, can you give me any more HP juice?" |
Sharpe: | Well, the potion won't do it alone |
Iginio: | "Cant we rest and heal after this fracas is over?" |
Sharpe: | I'm basically dead |
Healbot: | the potion would keep you from dying, just making ko checks. |
Sharpe: | Not seeing how many turns to drink potion |
Healbot: | pretty sure it's just ready and quaff |
Iginio: | ((Ive always thought it was some horribly long process and never done in combat, but I may misremember)) |
Sharpe: | Yeah, it's like 1 to ready, 1 to uncork, and 1 to drink, IIRC |
Healbot: | one ready action to drink a ready potion |
Sharpe: | Basic Set, but DF RPG, who knows |
Iginio: | ((Ah, talk about convenience!)) |
Healbot: | if you've a potion belt and fast draw potion it's effectively one action. |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 6
Sharpe: | woo! What a smooth action! |
Iginio: | ((How long does GH last? 5 goes?)) |
Iginio: | ((So only 2 goes left)) |
* Sharpe rolls: 1d6 => 4
Kyle: | so if you do nothing on turns from now on, you can avoid making ko checks. |
Kyle: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Giant Ape!!
Giant Ape 1, get ready to go!
|
Kyle: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Giant Ape 1!!
Giant Ape 2, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 1: | Health check result: succeeded by 3 |
Kyle: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Giant Ape 2!!
Giant Ape 3, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 2: | IQ check result: failed by 5 |
Kyle: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Giant Ape 3!!
Healbot, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 3: | IQ check result: failed by 9 |
Kyle: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Healbot!!
Grog, get ready to go!
|
Iginio: | ((Can Grog swing for the skull on 2 since crippled feet on 2?)) |
* Kyle pants and leans on his staff
* Healbot does that
Sharpe: | Who is this Kyle?! |
Kyle: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Grog!!
Iginio, get ready to go!
|
Grog: | Axe swing in the chest (14): '' result: «succeeded by 9 » Dwarven axe, can parry after attacking doing 10 cut |
Kyle: | all out determined for skull |
Giant Ape 2: | result: succeeded by 8 |
Iginio has received initiative.
Kyle: |
Round Number 7: You are up, Iginio!!
Strudelbork, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 2: | Health check result: succeeded by 5 |
Iginio: | Iginio all out attack double! Swing for the Skull x2 (need 14) |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 16
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 10
Iginio: | 1 hit for the skull |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 11 + 7 = 18
Giant Ape 2: | result: succeeded by 8 |
Iginio: | Next act, try another Sai throw for the vitals at 3 |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
Iginio: | And fast draw (this is sai 2 thrown, so 3 left) |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 10
Iginio: | ((Thats 4/10 great haste used up)) |
Giant Ape 3: | Dodge(5) result: failed by 7 |
Kyle: | for the record i think you can get away with 2 aoa's |
Sharpe: | Honestly, there's nothing to attack. |
Kyle: | even if they recover you still get a turn before they get to act. |
* Kalzazz rolls: 2d6+3 => 10 + 3 = 13
Kyle: | you could go determined and try for an eye |
Giant Ape 3: | result: CRITICALLY FAILED by 3 failed it's major wound check |
Iginio: | ((Determined only gives +1 to skill for a ranged attack)) |
Iginio: | ((But it just fell down!)) |
Sharpe: | AFK. I take Do Nothing. End turn. |
Kyle: | it did fall down. if you crit fail a major wound does anything else happen?: |
Kyle: | oh, it's unconscious |
Kyle: | i'm confortable calling this fight now. |
Kyle: | that's 2/3 of the interested parties |
Iginio: | Iginio has prevailed in glorious ninja fashion! |
Sharpe: | Woo, that trample was tough. |
Sharpe: | Gotta remember that. |
Kyle: | important to remember in future not to line yourself up for thsoe |
Iginio: | As I said last session, we were in real trouble if they could slam |
Sharpe: | Well, I thought they were SM +2 |
Sharpe: | Kinda big difference between Shaq and King Cong. |
Iginio: | However, the one that trampled opened itself up to a back attack here, so it up and died after it did that |
Kyle: | would you believe there are silverbacks that are bigger. |
Sharpe: | Than SM +2? No, I would not believe that. |
Iginio: | And since Strudel had GH Iginio, Iginio could pull off said back attack without leaving himself wide open |
Sharpe: | SM +1 is like 9 feet tall |
Kyle: | silverback giant apes. |
Iginio: | SM+1 is 'Anything past 6ft' |
Kyle: | that GH was a big deal |
Kyle: | although if I had trampled with the first ape, then the 2nd, I'm pretty sure the apes would have carried the day. |
Iginio: | Iginio + GH = Can produce the damage |
Kyle: | but carried the day. |
Iginio: | The doorway was helping prevent them from charging through it I thought? |
Iginio: | But yeah, the ape being sentimental over the jaguar did not help it |
Kyle: | I guess ape one only got one try |
Iginio: | Plus the first ape fleeing |
Iginio: | When it was still able to fight |
Kyle: | It was clogging the entryway |
Kyle: | it should have trampled instead of fleeing |
Kyle: | things to remember next time I use obscenely huge monsters |
Iginio: | Fortunately was not Ape Sun Tsu |
Kyle: | nobody needs that in their life |
Sharpe: | Describe the monster as being that big next time, though. Just saying. |
Kyle: | I'm pretty sure I said 30 ft ape 2 or 3 times |
Sharpe: | Ok, I missed it. Totally my bad. |
Kyle: | "Kyle: 4 30 foot tall apes" |
Kyle: | in the opening room desc |
Sharpe: | Ok, I missed it. Totally my bad. |
Kyle: | lots of info coming at you all at once |
Kyle: | easy to miss something |
Sharpe: | I'm not used to this format at all |
Sharpe: | This is my only typed game and I do find it quite hard to parse the info |
Kyle: | for the record, I'm cool with you reading monster entries and keeping me honest. |
Sharpe: | I felt bewildered more than once |
Sharpe: | But, that's my fault |
Iginio: | Same, DF is still weird to me |
Kyle: | you don't get to go for the monster's special secret weakness without an appropriate knowledge roll |
Kyle: | but I don't mind you knowing it's there. |
Iginio: | I mean, its GURPS, but very different than the GURPS Im used to, so its cool |
Sharpe: | So, what do we do now? |
Sharpe: | That one's not going to let us alone, I don't think. |
Kyle: | the rigid use of battle maps and units of time are wildly different. |
Iginio: | its 10, so I think session over |
Iginio: | Well, I think the last one just got mopped up in summary rather than rolled out |
Kyle: | Session over, I'm willing to hand wave that last ape in summary |
Kyle: | you'd put it in ko check territory anyway |
Iginio: | This a Worthy Im guessing? |
Sharpe: | Ok, but that's . . . That's generous. |
Sharpe: | Oh, shit, I'd call this boss. Seriously I would. |
Iginio: | Didnt seem anywhere near as scary as the Watcher or the Bears |
Kyle: | there's an issue with them in terms of CER |
Kyle: | because CER doesn't take into account SM or large area damage |
Iginio: | I was confident we had this one in the bag straight through |
Sharpe: | 4x Giant Apes is way worse by the book than 4x bears. |
Iginio: | Once we got the great haste off it was game over |
Kyle: | Christopher has acknowledged this is a blind spot |
Sharpe: | That's . . . That is not accurate, I don't thik. |
Kyle: | what I said or what Kal said? |
Iginio: | Well, not quite game over, but stars looked favorable |
Sharpe: | I don't think this was in the bag with just one Swash GH'ed |
Kyle: | that great haste was a game changer, not in the bag. |
Sharpe: | Oh, sure, looks a lot better |
Sharpe: | Yeah, I can go with that. |
Kyle: | but made it possible. |
Kyle: | was not possible without GH |
Sharpe: | Or, you know, two of the 4 locked in perm. stun |
Kyle: | this pairing is extremely complementary |
Iginio: | Well, the Watcher fight and the Bear fight seemed very much snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. This fight was 'as long as the dice gods dont turn against us we are okay' |
Sharpe: | Certainly it is. Wizard + Melee is strongest 2-PC combo there is |
Kyle: | I think if I'd used trample twice you wouldn't feel that way. |
Iginio: | Nah, after that first trample I was willing to retreating dodge if I had to |
Sharpe: | Trample is something I've not used, but knew was there, so I got a big wake up call |
Iginio: | But I was great hasted, the things were going down |
Kyle: | in part because it would have changed the nature of the battle from 1 choke point to enemies on 2-3 sides |
Kyle: | that in itself is a big deal. |
Sharpe: | I would have written you guys off and started dropping Concussion bombs at that point lol |
Sharpe: | flew upwards and said I'm out. |
Iginio: | That first ape wasnt staying combat effective after my next go, it left its back open it was being disabled, then would have been 2 on 1 |
Kyle: | the un numbered one? |
Kyle: | that's the one that would have charged first |
Kyle: | instead of fleeing it would have run through the party. you didn't have gh yet IIRC |
Iginio: | Ah, that was before the Great Haste went off. I said the fight was done AFTER the Great Haste, not before it |
Kyle: | my point is that it would have been more boss feeling with 2 tramples |
Iginio: | Yeah, more tamples would be more pain definitely |
Iginio: | And tramples when your foe isnt great hasted isnt suicide |
Kyle: | especiallty if it might have interrupted gh |
Iginio: | With great haste, you can move to back attack, then swivel back into position to meet the other foes |
Sharpe: | Again, my bad for not realizing they were 30 feet tall or I would have DV'ed first |
Kyle: | that might have saved it too |
Iginio: | Also it occurs to me wise heroes might try to crack the door and peek through or something |
Kyle: | although those are still 8 fp each right? |
Server has connected.
Colarmel has connected.
Colarmel is disconnected.
Sharpe has connected.
Kyle: | sudden work ticket gimme a few min |
Sharpe: | Well, it's not even 6 yet :-) |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 14
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 11
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 5
* Grog shrugs
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 15
Iginio: | Oer Based Traps is 8 |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 11
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 8
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 11
the door slides silently into the north wall
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 7
* Iginio takes the idol
Sharpe: | "Grog, with Iginio." |
Sharpe: | Strudel watches the hall |
Kyle: | it is hollow inside and weighs a pound |
* Iginio sighs and rejoins Strudel
* Kyle shrugs
Kyle: | just throwing out a number |
Sharpe: | Is there a way to shut the door? |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 14
Use #d#
+#.
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 12
Kyle: | the door looks safe, just open it? |
Sharpe: | My Traps is one better than Ig's, I think |
Sharpe: | by default. Just saying. |
Kyle: | his dx based is much higher for the act of disarming though |
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 13
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 14
Iginio: | "Look dudes, we found a room" |
Kyle: | Iginio, a crossbow bolt launches as you walk through the door |
Kyle: | Gimme a dodge, -2 for side hex |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 13
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 11
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 16
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 12
* You roll secretly: 3d6 => 5
* Iginio tries this door
Healbot: (( your hirelings are rolling well tonight ))
Healbot: | See that spring over there? |
* Healbot points at a spring between the hinges
Healbot: | I bet it triggers something |
Sharpe: | It triggers a Traps roll from our Swash |
* Iginio tries to disarm the trap!
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
Iginio: | ((11/14 for DX Traps)) |
Healbot: | gimme a dx -5 roll :( |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 12
Kyle: | vision is at -1 in the room |

Sharpe: | And the ape that's in the door way? how's he doing? |
Iginio: | ((Not ready for KO checks yet, but is slowed so his dodge is not one with joy)) |
Sharpe: | Great Haste on Iggy |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 10
Sharpe: | You're welcome ;-) |
Giant Ape 1: | Does he get his second turn now? |
Iginio: | "Whoa! Im feeling bodacious now dude!" |
Giant Ape 1: | or does it actually start on his turn |
Sharpe: | On his turn, he gets two turns |
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 3: You are up, Giant Ape!!
Giant Ape 1, get ready to go!
|
Giant Ape 1: |
Round Number 3: You are up, Giant Ape 1!!
Giant Ape 2, get ready to go!
|
* Giant Ape 1 stomps through the party on his way elsewhere.
Iginio: | ((That seems really bad)) |
Giant Ape 1: | Trample means only legal defense is a dodge |
Giant Ape 1: | lemme roll to hit everyone |
Iginio: | Acrobatics! Then dodge |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 8
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 18
Giant Ape 1: | in order on initiative |
Giant Ape 1: | Dexterity check result: succeeded by 1 |
Iginio: | Bad dodge, luck, 7:58 PM |
Sharpe: | Kinda hard to trample a floating guy but don't think there's rules for that |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 12
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 6
Iginio: | ((Er Cars, not Cards)) |
Sharpe: | Like I say, not arguing at all. |
Giant Ape 1: | I'm curious how you'd rule it in your game |
Sharpe: | Dude, seriously . . . XD |
Giant Ape 1: | the ape would do it with or without you :P |
Giant Ape 1: | Dexterity check result: succeeded by 3 |
Giant Ape 1: | Dexterity check result: succeeded by 3 |
Iginio: | ((Strudel should get a dodge, and should get to retreat upwards for an extra +1 I think?)) |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 13
* Kyle rolls: 5d6+8 => 21 + 8 = 29
Iginio: | ((I dodged! I used Luck and all)) |
Giant Ape 1: | If I keep this up I have a TPK |
Giant Ape 1: | then, that's to strudel... |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 9
* Kyle rolls: 5d6+8 => 15 + 8 = 23
* Giant Ape 1 shudders
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 7
|
|
|
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 11
|
|
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 17
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 14
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 16
Iginio: | Hits since back attack! |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+8 => 11 + 8 = 19
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+8 => 13 + 8 = 21
|
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 11
Sharpe: | I don't think skill is an issue here so |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 6
|
|
|
|
|
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 9
|
|
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 9
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 14
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 16
Giant Ape 2: | Dodge(9) result: succeeded by 1 |
Iginio: | Then his second action is a standard attack, rapid strike, deceptive -2/-1 for each leg |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 8
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 3
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+8 => 10 + 8 = 18
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 13 + 7 = 20
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 11 + 7 = 18
|
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 8
Sharpe: | Well, I'll step closer, so 17 |
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 6
|
|
|
|
|
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 12
* Healbot fails
|
|
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 3
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 12
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 13 + 7 = 20
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 8 + 7 = 15
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 10 + 7 = 17
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 12
Iginio: | And fast draw new sai |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 10
Giant Ape 3: | Dodge(5) result: CRITICALLY SUCCEEDED by 1 |
* Sharpe rolls eyes
* Kyle rolls: 3d6 => 12
|
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 8
* Sharpe rolls: 3d6 => 6
Sharpe: | woo! What a smooth action! |
Iginio: | ((How long does GH last? 5 goes?)) |
Iginio: | ((So only 2 goes left)) |
* Sharpe rolls: 1d6 => 4
|
|

Kyle: |
Round Number 6: You are up, Healbot!!
Grog, get ready to go!
|
Iginio: | ((Can Grog swing for the skull on 2 since crippled feet on 2?)) |
* Kyle pants and leans on his staff
* Healbot does that
Sharpe: | Who is this Kyle?! |
|
|
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 16
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 10
Iginio: | 1 hit for the skull |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6+7 => 11 + 7 = 18
Giant Ape 2: | result: succeeded by 8 |
Iginio: | Next act, try another Sai throw for the vitals at 3 |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 11
Iginio: | And fast draw (this is sai 2 thrown, so 3 left) |
* Kalzazz rolls: 3d6 => 10
* Kalzazz rolls: 2d6+3 => 10 + 3 = 13
Iginio: | Or otherwise try to avoid getting absolutely slammed |
Iginio: | The FP cost reduction happens last |
Sharpe: | Oh, never thought of that |
Sharpe: | FP cost reduction does happen last |
Kyle: | oh... so you prolly didn't have all that fp to burn. |
Sharpe: | well, I critted but yeah |
Iginio: | I wish I could blend Iginio and Fiona, then would have a character who felt truly competent instead of newbie adventurer monster chow |
Kyle: | They both do their jobs really well |
Kyle: | they just have different jobs as statted. |
Kyle: | iginio is a monster damage dealer |
Kyle: | fiona is a damage mitigator with damage as a bonus. |
Kyle: | anyway, I'm out for now |
Sharpe: | Had fun! Thanks for running it! |
Sharpe is disconnected.
Iginio: | Yes, was fun! Later! |
Kalzazz is disconnected.
Iginio: | Or otherwise try to avoid getting absolutely slammed |
